Honestly… what aren’t we?

Oh yeah, we aren’t here to bore you. Just because you learn something doesn’t mean that this is a lecture. It’s… well, it’s just two friends sharing what they know about food.

Thats it. We are people who like talking about what excites us. And that is food. That is history. That is travel, pop culture, science, and what we had for lunch.

You’re Driving Me Hungry is a podcast for foodies on the go! Each week we take a chapter from food history and talk about it like a book club, with all the banter, tangents, and jokes you would expect from good friends.

So whether you’re on your way to work, hanging with friends, enjoying that bowl of ramen in front of you, or losing a staring contest to a pet rock, we hope that we get to Drive You Hungry.

Chef Holden Dahlerbruch

Chef Holden is more than the culinary wizard that his mom thinks he is. Holden is a chef all about the fantastic stories that surround the culinary arts.

From an early age, Holden was surrounded by food. When all his friends were playing soccer or in music lessons, his parents nurtured his passion by hiring “chef coaches” (who were basically private chefs) so Holden could learn from the best.

Holden's cooking journey continued with competitions on the international hit television show "Man vs. Child: Chef Showdown" (FYI, A&E, Disney+). Since then, Holden has been stirring up magic in over four dozen kitchens around the world, from restaurants to food trucks, and even organizing epic events like the 10th-anniversary banquet for the world’s largest all-female surfing competition. Holden has explored culinary culture in 38 countries and 31 states. If it's edible, he's probably cooked it… or at least tried.

He has a degree in Culinary History, Culture, and Entrepreneurship from Tufts University. He wrote a mouthwatering thesis about German-American food in the United States during the World Wars. Back in his college days, he was the brain that founded and led the campus culinary magazine, "The Palmier," and started the Foodie House where food lovers at came together to have the most incredible family-style meals on campus.

Holden now works as a culinary consultant, helping the best independent and family-run restaurants find new opportunities through menu development, branding, hospitality, and community engagement.

Oh yeah, and Holden is a proud two-time scholarship award winner from the James Beard Foundation. Almost forgot about that… maybe we should include that fact.

Courtney Lynn

Courtney understands the concept of cooking and cleaning. Just not as it applies to her. At least, that's the disclaimer she's proudly displayed in her kitchen for over a decade. Right now, that sign is in storage as she fully embraces her remote role as a digital nomad, culinary explorer, and the spirited co-host of your favorite dining experience podcast.

A love of travel paired with a career in education and enablement that had her jet-setting across the globe, Courtney soon realized that the best dining recommendations often came from unexpected sources: hotel associates, friendly drivers, and even fellow chatty passengers at 30,000 feet. Those serendipitous encounters sparked her passion for discovering the culinary wonders of the world and led her to become a prolific reviewer of the places she visited.

Since 2019, Courtney has ascended the ranks of the foodie elite, earning her place as a Level 7 Google Local Guide. She's not just a casual reviewer; she's in the top 10% of Eatery reviewers, a feat as impressive as her ability to find the quirkiest street food stalls or the coziest hidden gems in every corner of the globe. She discovered an unexpected passion during her travels—exploring the world one plate at a time.

What truly sets her apart is her unwavering commitment to her favorite culinary categories: cocktails, desserts, coffee shops, and brunch spots. These are her culinary compass, leading her to the best flavors in any city she explores.

Whether she's sipping exquisite cocktails in New Orleans, indulging in delectable desserts in Providence, discovering charming coffee shops in Seattle, or unraveling the mysteries of brunch spots in Chicago, Courtney is ready to be a co-culinary tour guide.
